This little magpie may look like an ordinary watercolour at first glance… but the reclaimed frame tells another tale.

Embellished with steampunk gears, antique scissors and a timepiece that never quite stops ticking, it feels like a relic from a world just slightly out of sync with ours.

Some say the magpie guards a secret.

One it’s carried through centuries, hopping between timelines with a glint of mischief in its eye.

And if you listen closely, you might swear the gears shift ever so slightly when no one’s looking… as though the story inside the frame is still unfolding.

The frame originally had a 5 x 7" photo in it to give you an idea of size and it comes with a stand so perfect for a shelf. I can make it so it hangs on a wall if desired.
