The Holly King - Open Edition Framed Canvas

In the heart of the Forest, beneath the pale silver light of the moon, a fire crackled softly. Five figures, cloaked in forest-green robes, knelt around the flame. Their faces, half-hidden beneath hoods, gleamed with reverence and a touch of fear. Tonight was no ordinary night, it was the Winter Solstice.

The Holly King guarded the wild places, his wrath fell upon those who would harm the forest. Yet his power also brought healing and balance to those who honoured the old ways.

My framed canvas is a 38mm stretched canvas within a traditional picture frame. The simple addition of a wooden picture frame creates a completely new form of wall art, quite distinct to a standard canvas. The thin frame sits approximately 5mm from the edge of the canvas helping create a floating border.
